Carib Pasta (St. Lucia) Limited (C.P.L), a locally incorporated company founded in 1992 is mainly involved in the manufacture and sale of a variety of pasta products. The Company is a family business.

In 1994, CPL improved its physical environment by moving to its own, new and more spacious plant which is location at Union Industrial Estate situated in St. Luca to the north of the island. Currently, the Company has a total of 35 full-time employees, 75% of whom are production operatives directly involved in the manufacturing and packaging process. Other staff members include an account, secretary, delivery/distribution personnel and sales/merchandising personnel.

The Company has gradually increased the number of product lines over the years. Currently, CPL manufactures a wide variety of pasta products which includes “Ready Cut”, “Elbows”, “Plain Twist”, “Shells”, “Spaghetti”, “Vegetable Twist”, “Angel Hair”,“Macaroni and Cheese”and much more. These products have all performed well in the local market and the company is recognized as a leader in producing high quality of pasta. This is largely due to the company utilization of high quality inputs, particular durum semolina.

The Company’s pasta products are sold both on the local and regional markets. Amongst the local producers of pasta products, CPL has approximately 90% share of the market. However, when imports from both regional and extra-regional markets are considered, CPL’s overall market share is estimated at 75%.
